Blue Planet Aquarium

So today's adventures involved a visit to the Blue Planet Aquarium in Chester. Having never been I was impressed with the layout. More geared toward children with its huge sploshy coloured displays it was a nice way to spend an hour or so. There wasn't much beyond watching the fish swim around in a variety of habitats. I'd recommend a look. Don't bother with the little guide book they sell you at reception. I've seen more information on a napkin and the pictures are postage stamp size. The place is hardly big enough to need a map either. By far the best part is the underwater tunnel. Sharks and rays swim really close and a few people were even diving with them!
It's a good couple of hours entertainment but not a lot more. There isn't a lot of information but you can watch a large variety of fish (and spiders) swimming around.
The biggest disappointment is that there isn't an octopus!!!!!! I know they don't live very long but they could have had a few breeding pairs or something. Anyway, I'll upload some pictures soon!
